INTRODUCING THE RDF INDUSTRY GROUP
The RDF Industry Group is a pan-European trade association with 40 member companies spanning the entire supply chain of waste-derived fuels, including RDF and SRF. It serves as a platform for market participants to exchange ideas and to discuss current challenges and developments in the industry. Through networking, knowledge transfer, and evidence-based analysis, the association helps its members to gain a better understanding of market trends and address cross-border issues related to waste recycling.
MEMBERS FROM ACROSS EUROPE IN LONDON
On the 20th of March, the first Group meeting for 2025 took place in London – for Dean Scanlan (Business Development Manager UK), Lukas Klapp (Team Lead International Business Development), and Michel Wülbers-Mindermann (Business Development Manager Benelux), it was the perfect opportunity to exchange ideas with industry representatives from across Europe. The presentations and subsequent discussions focused on current challenges and developments in international business, as well as the effects of CO₂ pricing. The participants came from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Sweden, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and many other European countries – a broad spectrum of perspectives that provided valuable insights into the various markets. The mix of recyclers, traders, and buyers completed the picture, leading to numerous valuable conversations and new impulses. For us, it was a great opportunity to maintain existing contacts and establish new business partnerships – rounding off the day with a breathtaking backdrop at dinner on the 32nd floor of The Shard.
